I’m not sure how I feel about my latest painting. As a result I have yet to title it. I know what drove me to paint today, but I don’t know why it was expressed this way.
I’ve never done this before and I don’t know why I haven’t done this when I share my other work with you, but here goes. Take a look at this. What do you think, see, and feel when you see it. What do you see, think, and feel initially? What do you see, think, and feel after you’ve taken a few minutes to study it?

This is coming to me after my Instagram comment….I see it as “Purple Reign” with that spelling and meaning.
Love it. To me it reminds me of a swirl of emotion. It’s a flood of everything in my head coming to a canvas. But I honestly think it feels like hope and life.
1st thing I see is the yellow. Happiness, sunshine. A beautiful mess is what it is. The black is minimal, overpowered by all the bright colours. The light is way powerful than darkness….I really love it.

I see breadth and width – the canvas is covered with BIG strokes, and then smaller threads on top. I think that it is representative of the depth in you that you are trying to convey through your writing, contrasted with the smaller threads of your truth that people are exposed to day-to-day.
Ugh. Looks like wordpress ate my comment. I said it reminds me of NYC. It’s where I’m from so it’s comforting. It’s home
